Ready for Baby!

We've been meaning to make this announcement for a while now! After lots of prayers and careful consideration, we've decided it's time to bring a baby into our home through adoption! We are so ready for a baby, and we think that adoption is such a great blessing and opportunity. The fact that someone out there would want us to raise their child is absolutely amazing and such a great compliment. We've already started the whole process with LDS Family Services and hope to be completely approved by early September, meaning we could have a baby ANY TIME after that! Scary, but very exciting! We haven't given up trying to get pregnant, but we just know that we are meant to have more than one or two kids, and we have come to realize we might not get ALL of them the good ol' conventional way. So, we're trying to be patient for just a little longer and are just imagining I'm pregnant without a due date! Wish us luck and we'll keep you all posted!

May I be the first to say, some little angel is about to be handed the VERY best life this world has to offer. You both ARE and will continue to be the most amazing parents. I can only imagine little Brock and Mia up in heaven helping to prepare their brother(s)/sister(s) to give you two hell! (your kids can't help but have a sense of humor.) You always are apart of our families prayers, however, we'll add this plea to the rest. Can't wait to hear. We love you two!!!

That is so AWESOME! You know I am a huge fan of adoption for obvious reasons. Best of luck with everything. I really want to adopt a baby from India, but I'm still trying to convince Ben. I will have to tell you about my adventure to India that I have planned for Dec/Jan. What will he do if I come home with a baby??

So I'll confess I totally teared up reading this post, just like I have every time I have thought about this in the last few weeks! Curtis & I are so happy for you & Todd and SO EXCITED to welcome a new little niece/nephew into our family. You both have been such an amazing example of faith, strength, grace, and optimism through everything you have been through. We know that this baby could not possibly be coming to a better home! We can't wait to spoil him/her rotten!! Plus you know we owe you many hours of free babysitting. :) Love ya!

Yeah! You guys are so amazing and we can't wait to meet your new little one! Our good friends went through the whole process a while ago and it was so fun to be a part of it with them. We filled out some of the paperwork for them and it was VERY long. Best of luck!!
