Well, two of my cousins, who are more like siblings to me than cousins, had babies this week! (That's why I call their kids my nieces and nephews!) I'm so excited and can't wait to go snuggle these new additions to our extended family. The first baby came on Tuesday, March 11, and they named her Abigail Janice Steele. She was 8 pounds, 8 ounces and 20 inches long, and has lots of dark hair (which I hope will turn red like her mommy's!). Abby and her proud parents live in Hawaii, so Todd and I will have to plan a trip so I can hold her. They'll be coming for a visit in July though, so I may just have to hold out until then. The second baby came on Wednesday, March 12 and was named McKell Rae Phillips. She was 6 pounds, 9 ounces and 18 1/2 inches long, and had TONS of blonde curls. Apparently she had all the nurses cooing over her and they were fighting about who got to bathe her and fix her cute blonde hair! I'm sure you can tell what picture McKell is in. :) Hooray for babies!

I have never seen that much blonde hair on a baby before and I worked in postpartum for a year. WOW!
I love them! Aren't they beautiful! I just want to snuggle them too.
I have to say, it looks like the cute little blond baby got a dye job. To echo the first comment, I've never seen blond hair like that on a newborn before.
Wow, they are both such beautiful babies! How fun!! Oh, and I love their names. Darling!
OH MY GOSH!!! I can't believe that HAIR!! It's the most fantastic thing I've ever seen on a newborn. (however, how old was the nurse that won the prize of doing her hair? I bet she did it just like hers!!!) HA! WAY TOO CUTE!
