Time really has flown by since the arrival of our two little twinners! I'm sure all you moms out there can agree that as fast as the time goes by, the difficulties that go along with motherhood make some days seem endless (or nights!). Needless to say, being a mom is such a fun, rewarding job and seeing the smiling faces of little kiddos at some point in your crazy day makes it all worthwhile!
Now, here's the update on Tate and Emmy after visiting their doctor for their 6-month appointment (they were 6 months on January 30!):
TATE
Weight: 18 pounds, 6 ounces, 67th%
Height: 27 1/4 inches, 79th%
Head: 83rd%
EMMY
Weight: 15 pounds, 3 ounces, 34th%
Height: 25 1/2 inches, 41st%
Head: 37th%
Tater bug is obviously our little tank and just seems huge compared to Em. He is obviously doing well and loves to roll around all over the floor. He's also been sitting and enjoys that new view. He especially loves his "biggest" sister, Izzie (he was the last born you know). She can get him to do the cutest belly laughs and he just watches her all of the time. I'm amazed at the bond I already see forming between them. Tate is also very playful and likes to grab at your face and "attack." He's got a cute deep voice and just kind of growls as he attacks. What a funny boy! Tate is also an excellent eater and really likes to eat oatmeal mixed with some sort of fruit. The best part is him sitting in his Bumbo with his mouth wide open while he waits for the next spoonful of food. He is definitely a little sweetheart and is such a good snuggle bug when he's ready for bed. Tate is a GREAT sleeper and goes down most nights (and naps) without any sort of fuss.
Now Emmers is our only "little" baby. If everyone remembers, Izzie was a super cute roly poly baby, and Emmy is just so much smaller on the charts. We love our chunky babies, but we sure love our teeny tiny one too! We call Emmy our wild child. She is always swinging her arms when she's excited and super curious about everything. It's hard to feed her because if anyone talks or makes a noise or even just walks by, she's instantly craning her head as far as it will go so she can see what's going on. Em has the sweetest smile that lights up her whole face and the prettiest big eyes and long lashes you've ever seen. She's known to occasionally give some good slobbery kisses and grabs your face with both her hands to do it. Emmy is also a mover and is into everything. She's not quit crawling but lifts her little body up in "plank" position and has almost figured out how to get her knees underneath her. Emmy is a TERRIBLE sleeper! I guess one of the three kids had to be this way so Todd and I knew what the rest of the world has to deal with. She usually has a 30- to maybe 45-minute nap twice a day, with the occasional hour or hour and half nap every so often. At night we have been getting up 4 to 5 times EACH just to give her a binky so she doesn't wake up Tate. She's lucky she's so darn CUTE! :)
We sure LOVE these babies! These pictures have been taken over the last couple of months, and I just haven't had time to put them up before now. Can you imagine? :)

Oh my goodness they are so adorable! I will be home in two weeks and I cant wait to see them!
Fun to see how much they are growing and learning! You are doing a great job!
Emmy's sleeping schedule sounds miserable! So sorry.
I agree that it is so neat to watch the bonds form between siblings. Leah can get Lincoln to laugh more than anyone else. I love it!
