How Will You Remember?

I love Pearl Harbor and all the history that goes along with it. I've probably been there 4 or 5 times and can't wait to go back. Before the your tour, you can go and walk around the museum and just . . . take it all in. After that, you start the tour with a short documentary full of pictures and stories (which the title of my post comes from), and then you take a short boat ride across the harbor and visit the U.S.S. Arizona Memorial. The feeling I get there is a somber, yet peaceful one. It's amazing to me that just below where I'm standing are some 1,100 of WWII's greatest heroes, entombed in the sunken ship. There's still oil leaking that rises to the surface of the water, known as "black tears," that makes it all feel so real to me. So many died there during the attack on Pearl Harbor, but just being there makes my heart swell with pride. I love our country and the people that fight for it! How lucky are we to live in such a wonderful place with so much diversity and freedom. Strive to go to this sacred place one day, and hopefully you'll be able to feel the same pride and thrill that I do . . .

More Hawaii

OK, I'm fulfilling my promise. Here are the long awaited "more" pictures, or should I say TONS more, from our last trip to Hawaii . . .

Izzie loved driving around Ko Olina in our little golf cart. I LOVED watching her hair blow in the wind!

Todd took all of our employees scuba diving and Izzie and I got to go.

She and I had to sit up by the captain while everyone else got ready and she fell asleep before we got to the first dive.

Todd getting ready to go!

Giving daddy a snuggle after his dive and her nap!
Taking us back to the marina—Captain Iz!

Chillin' with her bottle at the condo.

Ready to go on a date with daddy.

At the lagoons in Ko Olina with mommy.

Just playin' with daddy. (I love Todd's expression in this pic!)

The cute little smile that we love.

Wait, where's Izzie? :)  She's asleep in the car with uncle Tyler.
The usual nap position at the beach.

A really CUTE close up. :)

Independence Day in Hawaii

Well, I haven't blogged forever, have i? We've been so busy with the new business and all the travel it requires that I haven't had a lot of time to sit at the computer, let alone sit at all! (Izzie doesn't help much in that area either!) Anyway, we had a fun trip to Hawaii and spent our 4th of July touring the island. Hope you like these pics for now, and I'll put up more Hawaii soon!

Iz and Todd at the Pali Lookout. It's super windy there and Izzie loved it! She had a pretty big grin on her face the whole time, except when we were taking pictures of course. :)

This is the Japanese temple and I've always thought it a really cool place. I think it's even more cool now since I spotted it on LOST, my favorite TV show in the whole wide world!!!

Us posing by a little "brook." Izzie would not smile for any of the strangers that took our pictures!

Checking out the HUGE koi swimming in the pond around the Japanese temple.

After the Japanese temple we went to the LDS temple and all over the North Shore. The temple is closed for renovation/remodeling, but the Visitor's Center is still open and has nice toilets and A/C thank goodness! :)

Playing in the grass and loving it.

I know this is a random pic, but I just love how it looks like Izzie and Todd are having a conversation. Izzie is like "awwww, dad, I don't know!"

Riding daddy's shoulders around the temple grounds.

Ignore my foot and look how cute my baby is! She still loves patty cake!

Posing for a photo shoot. A Japanese tourist group walked by and asked if they could take Izzie's picture because she looked just like a "doll." (This is not the first time this has happened!)

Ready to go home after a long day of driving around the island.

More pics to come soon!!!!
